It is ok. It blocks the players view of your notes, and has some usefull tabels.

This Dungeon Master screen for 4th edition is a must have quick reference guide/utility for any level of DM (or a handy resource for PCs) at a very affordable price. The screen clearly indexes and charts the most used references for combat and non-combat activites including: Food, Drink, and Lodging; Light Sources; Monster Knowledge DCs; Attack Modifiers; DCs to Break or Burst Common Items; Cover; Concealment; Conditions; and much more. It also gives you a page reference to consult the full text explanations found either in the Players Handbook or Dungeon Master's Guide for each category. I have found this to be an integral part of my personal DM set up and in-game resource tools.

Now i can roll secret dice in secret, and i have a nice cheat-sheet for any little bits of info i can't remember. If you are a DM for a 4E game i recommend getting this, it really does help.

This DM Screen, for the most part is useful. the hard material that its made of is durable and resistant. the info is useful, but i don't like the fact that wizards posted an update/fix on their website 2 days before the actual product shipped... apart from that, all the info you get from the screen can be used at some point of a campaign or another. the screen is pretty wide so make sure you have a big enough table to put it on :)
